Dr Pablo Fernandez Velasco serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Philosophy Department at the University of Stirling, focusing on the intersection of environmental concerns and philosophical inquiry.
His research interests include:

Dr Fernandez Velasco currently leads the British Academy-funded research project "No Direction Home: dwelling and ecological grief" (April 10, 2025 - August 31, 2026), which examines philosophical dimensions of ecological grief and the concept of dwelling amidst environmental crisis. His work appears to bridge continental philosophy with contemporary environmental ethics, particularly exploring how philosophical concepts of 'dwelling' can help understand ecological grief in the Anthropocene era.
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, he contributes to the University of Stirling's research infrastructure while developing his independent research program in environmental philosophy.
