Pablo Acuña

Pablo Acuña is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC). He has held positions at multiple institutions, including PUCV (Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso) and UNAB, and has served as a visiting fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. His academic journey includes a PhD and MSc in History and Philosophy of Science from Utrecht University, Netherlands, and a Master's in Philosophy of Science from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH).

His publications span journals like Synthese, Foundations of Physics, and European Journal for Philosophy of Science, alongside Springer book chapters. His work emphasizes scientific realism, pluralism, and underdetermination.

He has led grants such as the PUENTE-2022-27 project and CONICYT initiatives. Acuña received the Best Postgraduate Thesis Prize at Utrecht University in 2013. He contributes to academic governance through roles like Acting Head of the Philosophy Doctoral Program at PUC and co-founded the Chilean Society of Philosophy of Sciences.
