PAULA PAZO ALVAREZ

PAULA PAZO ALVAREZ is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology within the Faculty of Psychology. She is part of the Institute of Psychology (IPsiUS) and contributes to the NECeA Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Research Group. Her research focuses on psychophysiological mechanisms underlying visual perception and cognitive processes.

She earned her doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2004 with a thesis titled Psychophysiological correlates of the automatic detection of changes in the human visual system, supervised by Dr. Fernando Cadaveira Mahía and Dr. Elena Amenedo Losada.

Her work integrates experimental psychology, neuroimaging techniques, and psychophysiological measurements to study attentional processes and cognitive control in human visual systems.
