Pablo Hernandez Lucas serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Functional Biology and Health Sciences at the Faculty of Physiotherapy, University of Vigo, based at the Pontevedra campus. His academic work is anchored in the HI10 research group, which investigates Educational, Healthy and Psychomotor Impacts of Physical Activity.
He holds a Doctorate from the University of Vigo (2024) with his thesis titled "Effects of school-based back programs on the prevention and treatment of non-specific lumbar and cervical pain in adults," supervised by Dr. Raquel Leirós Rodríguez and Dr. José Luis García Soidán.
Dr. Hernandez Lucas's research spans Physiotherapy, Pain Management, and Physical Activity Interventions, with specialized focus on Back Pain Prevention and School Health Programs. His work emphasizes evidence-based applications of physical activity in educational settings to address musculoskeletal health issues.
