Péter Kemény

Péter Kemény is an Assistant Professor at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), where he has taught ceramic design and practical applications for 23 years. He studied at MOME’s predecessor institution and spent 1.5 years at the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét. His educational focus spans ceramics and design, with research interests in blending traditional and contemporary techniques. Since 2004, he has conducted wood-fired kiln demonstrations in Siklós, Verőce, and Kecskemét, emphasizing traditional methods as high-tech practices.

Kemény’s artistic practice includes sacred-themed sculptures and reinterpretations of East Asian pottery under the brand BrutalceramicS. His work bridges educational mentorship and cross-cultural ceramic innovation.
