معرفی
Oğuzcan İnal serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, focusing on advanced composite materials for aerospace applications. His research integrates experimental and computational methods to address structural integrity challenges in composite systems.
His primary research interests include:
- Composite material failure mechanisms under static and fatigue loading
- Interlaminar fracture toughness enhancement through multiscale toughening
- Structural health monitoring of repaired composite structures
- Porosity characterization in out-of-autoclave manufactured composites
- Scale effects in non-crimp fabric composite laminates
Analysis of his 2022-2025 publications reveals concentrated expertise in co-cured composite joints, with recurring themes of interface engineering, hybrid toughening strategies, and non-destructive evaluation techniques. His work consistently targets aerospace structural applications, particularly bonding and repair methodologies for glass/epoxy and CFRP systems.
He currently leads the research project "Parametric Investigation Using Finite Element Method of the Effect of Interlaminar Fracture Toughness on the Quasi-Static Strength of Co-Cured Composite Adhesive Joints" (2024-2026), demonstrating active grant acquisition and project leadership. His collaborative network spans international institutions including University of Manchester and Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
