Ottmar Ette

Prof. Dr. Ottmar Ette is a Professor of Romance Literature at Universität Potsdam, holding the Chair for Romance Literary Studies since 1995. His research focuses on Literary Studies as Life Science, Conviviality, and Alexander von Humboldt's legacy. He has led major projects like the DFG-funded Graduiertenkollegs 'Lebensformen + Lebenswissen' and 'Zwischen Räumen'. A Humboldt Fellow (2004-2005), he co-founded ForLaBB (Berlin-Brandenburg Research Network on Latin America) and edits journals like HiN and Istmo. His work bridges literary analysis with interdisciplinary concerns about global coexistence and transcultural communication.
