Oswald Prucker

Dr. Oswald Prucker is a Senior Scientist ("Akademischer Oberrat") at the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) of the University of Freiburg, within the Laboratory for Chemistry and Physics of Interfaces. His research focuses on surface functionalization, photochemistry, and biocompatible materials. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bayreuth (1995), where his thesis explored polymer brush synthesis via radical graft polymerization under Prof. Jürgen Rühe. After a postdoc at Stanford University with Prof. Curtis W. Frank studying confined polymers and surface chemistry, he rejoined Prof. Rühe's group at the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research before moving to his current position in Freiburg.
