Orit Sarfatti is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture, Oxford Brookes University. Her work focuses on the intersection of design, community engagement, and social ideologies. She leads modules in Interior Architecture and Material Exploration, emphasizing user-space interaction to enhance individual and communal experiences.

Her research explores the relationship between built environments and sociopolitical systems, notably through her PhD study on communal child-rearing in Israeli Kibbutzim (1920-1960). She co-leads the 'Designing the Experience' research group, collaborating with universities like UCL and Surrey, focusing on spatial boundaries and user experience.
Her Live Projects engage local Oxford communities, such as the North Hinksey pavilion revitalization, demonstrating design's impact on quality of life. Awards include the ISA Travel Award and Oxford Brookes Teaching Excellence Award.
