Professor Herskowitz specializes in translating academic research into commercial applications through technology transfer frameworks and innovation ecosystems. He focuses on creating scalable models for proof-of-concept funding and venture creation from academic research.
As head of CTV, he oversees an operation managing 350+ annual invention disclosures, 100+ license agreements, and 20+ new startups per year, with 180+ total companies launched including 40+ VC-backed ventures and 25+ successful exits. His leadership extends to regional innovation infrastructure through initiatives like NYC Media Lab and PowerBridgeNY.
