Omid Samimi Abianeh

Omid Samimi Abianeh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Wayne State University's College of Engineering. His expertise focuses on reacting flow modeling and experimentation, with emphasis on hypersonic flow, detonation, deflagration, high temperature autoignition, and turbulent sprays.

Teaching Activities: Omid teaches courses including Advanced Thermodynamics, Gas Dynamics, and Combustion. Recent and upcoming courses include Fluid Mechanics (ME3300), Intermediate Fluid Mechanics (ME5300), and Special Topics in Mechanical Engineering II (ME7995) across Fall 2023 to Fall 2025 terms.

Laboratory Affiliation: He contributes to the Combustion and Propulsion Laboratory (cpl.eng.wayne.edu), which investigates advanced combustion dynamics and propulsion systems.
