Dr. Omaima Hassan is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and Accounting and Research Degrees Coordinator at the Aberdeen Business School (ABS) of Robert Gordon University, UK. She specializes in corporate reporting, environmental performance disclosure, and audit quality. She supervises six PhD students and has qualifications including a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Abertay University. Her research focuses on corporate governance, ESG disclosure, and the impact of environmental policies. She is affiliated with the Energy, Sustainability & Society Research Group. Awards include Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and ILM leadership certifications.
Her teaching includes corporate finance for undergraduates and portfolio investment for postgraduates. She previously taught at Brunel University.
