Olya Mangusheva, a University of Indianapolis alumna and current faculty member, holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the School of Occupational Therapy. She earned her Master of Occupational Therapy at UIndy in 2011, where she forged lifelong connections with classmates and faculty.
- Specializes in pediatric occupational therapy, ICF, feeding therapy, and hippotherapy
- Advocated for occupational therapy recognition in Ukraine since 2011
- Developed Ukraine's first WFOT-approved master’s program in OT
- Instrumental in establishing national exams and healthcare mandates for OT
A refugee from the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Olya fled to Poland with her family in 2022 before returning to UIndy. She now teaches both master’s and doctoral OT programs while maintaining active support for Ukrainian occupational therapists through online courses, webinars, and international resource coordination.
