Oluwatoyin Ajibade is a Senior Lecturer in Civil and Building Services Engineering at the School of the Built Environment and Architecture, London South Bank University. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His teaching focuses on Engineering Surveying, Structures & Construction Technology A, and Materials & Geology.
His research interests include sustainable materials for road pavements, smart drainage systems, and reducing carbon emissions in construction. Current projects involve developing low-carbon road pavement systems, optimizing sustainable drainage, and creating proactive drainage management frameworks. Completed projects include work on reinforced concrete durability and consultancy for Roadfill Limited.
Awarded roles include ICE Exam Script Marker, Royal Society International Exchanges Panel member, and UKRI Talent Peer Review College member. He supervises three PhD projects: Low-Carbon Pavement Durability, Recycled Aggregates in Continuous Beams, and Smart Drainage Systems using MCDA.
He leads the BEng Civil Engineering program and serves on LSBU's Springboard Grants and Academic Appeals Panels. His expertise aligns with UN SDGs related to sustainable infrastructure and climate action.
