معرفی
Olivier POURRET is an Associate Professor in Geochemistry at UniLaSalle, affiliated with the Department of Geosciences. He is a member of the AGHYLE research unit, focusing on geochemical processes involving trace elements and rare earth elements (REE). His work spans environmental geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, and open science advocacy.
Education: He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Rennes 1 (2006) and an Habilitation to supervise research from the University of Picardie Jules Verne (2013). Professional experience includes roles as an ATER (2006-2007) and instructor at the University of Rennes 1 before joining UniLaSalle in 2007.
Research interests include the mobility of trace elements from rock to soil and plants, with a focus on REE behavior in groundwater and anthropogenic impacts. He also advocates for equitable open science practices, publishing ethics, and reforming scientific communication.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in Crystallochemistry, Environmental Geochemistry, and Water Chemistry. He supervises student research projects at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Recent publications highlight his contributions to REE geochemistry, open access publishing, and critical analysis of scientific terminology. He emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to address environmental and societal challenges in geochemistry.
