Olivier Hubert is a Tutor and Researcher at the University of Namur's Faculty of Economics, Management, Communication and Politics, affiliated with the Centre of Research in the Economics of Development (CeReFiM) and Center for Research in Finance and Management. He completed his PhD in Economics and Business Management in 2018 under Professor Romain Houssa, focusing on fiscal policy effects on sovereign yields.
Research Interests: Olivier specializes in macroeconomic dynamics with emphasis on yield curve modeling, international policy transmission, and advanced econometric techniques including non-linear estimation, spatial econometrics, and Markov-switching models. His work bridges macroeconomics and finance, analyzing contagion effects in emerging markets.
Teaching Portfolio: He has taught core economics courses including Introduction to Economics (BA), Econometrics (BA/MA), and International Macroeconomics (BA/MA), while supervising approximately 10 Master's theses annually.
