Olivier Bahn is a Full Professor at the Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal, where he has been since 2003. He currently serves as Director of the GERAD research group and Co-director of the e3 Cluster (energy, environment, circular economy). His research focuses on energy economics, climate change modeling, and mathematical optimization for sustainable systems.
- Engineering degree from CNAM (Paris)
- Doctorate in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Geneva
Key research areas include decarbonization strategies, hydrogen economy, smart grid optimization, and sustainable materials development. His work bridges operational research with environmental policy through quantitative modeling.
Recent publications focus on hydrogen market modeling, biogenic carbon neutrality, and smart grid capacity planning. He has contributed to journals like Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy and Climate Change, and Environmental Science & Technology.
