Olivier Bachelier

Olivier Bachelier is a Full Professor in Automatic Control and Systems at the National School of Engineers of Poitiers (ENSIP), part of the University of Poitiers, France. He is affiliated with the LIAS (Laboratoire d'Informatique et d'Automatique pour les Systèmes) research laboratory, with offices at both the ENSIP campus in Poitiers and the ISAE-ENSMA campus in Chasseneuil.

Professor Bachelier's research focuses on multidimensional systems theory, particularly 2D and 3D Roesser models, stability analysis of linear systems, and control theory. His work bridges theoretical mathematical analysis with practical applications in power systems and renewable energy. He has made significant contributions to understanding stability conditions for various multidimensional system models, including Fornasini-Marchesini models and descriptor systems.

His publication record shows a consistent research trajectory spanning over two decades, with more than 150 publications including 62 journal articles and 88 conference papers. Recent work (2020-2023) demonstrates continued productivity with numerous publications in top-tier control theory journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, International Journal of Control, and Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing. His research shows a clear evolution from fundamental stability analysis to applications in power electronics and renewable energy systems.
