Olivia Paul serves as a Lecturer in Psychology at Brittany Inspé, where she is affiliated with the LP3C (Psychology Laboratory: Cognition, Behavior, Communication). Her research program centers on understanding how vulnerable contexts, including exposure to violence, impact children's developmental trajectories and adaptation. She investigates the educational pathways of vulnerable populations, such as children in care, to identify strategies that foster academic success, and examines the perceptions and practices of school professionals when working with students facing significant challenges.
Dr. Paul's scholarly contributions span several key areas of psychology and education:
- Child Development in Adverse Contexts
- Effects of Violence on Childhood Development
- Inclusive Educational Practices
- Socio-emotional and Behavioral Difficulties in School Settings
- Educational Psychology for Vulnerable Populations
- Professional Practices of Educators in Challenging Environments
Her work provides critical insights for training future educators, enhancing understanding of child development under stress, and developing inclusive educational frameworks that address the needs of children in difficult circumstances. By bridging research and practice, Dr. Paul's investigations inform strategies to improve educational outcomes for at-risk youth and support school professionals in their challenging roles.
