Olivia Anna Rachwol is affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on cultural-anthropological analyses of Polish conspiracy theories, particularly their intersections with populist politics and collective memory. She holds a Master’s in European Studies from Lund University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Economics, American Studies, and Law from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She previously served as a tutor in American history at LMU (2018–2019).
Her current project investigates conspiracy theories within Polish right-wing movements like Law and Justice (PiS), exploring their historical roots and societal impact. The study employs ethnographic methods to analyze how these narratives shape political identity and public discourse. Notably, she examines the Smolensk airplane crash and Round Table talks as case studies reflecting Poland’s cyclical historical consciousness.
