Dr Oliver Webb is a Teaching Professor at the University of Plymouth, affiliated with the Library and Academic Development School and the Educational Development - Academic Development Department. He holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and has extensive experience in Sports Science and Public Health education at institutions like Kingston and Loughborough Universities. His current role involves supporting the Teaching Development Framework, delivering training for academic staff, and advising on programme approvals and policies. He teaches on the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and focuses on research addressing early withdrawal from higher education and attainment gaps for non-traditional students.
His professional background includes roles as an Education Advisor at the University of Exeter, where he developed staff training and reviewed academic programs.
