Oliver Roth

Oliver Roth is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Würzburg, holding the Chair of Mathematics IV (Complex Analysis) within the Institute of Mathematics. His office is located in Building 40 (Mathematik Ost), Room 02.010, on the Hubland Nord campus at Emil-Fischer-Straße 40, 97074 Würzburg.

Roth's research primarily focuses on geometric function theory, conformal geometry, and Loewner evolution. His work explores the deep connections between complex analysis and differential geometry, with particular emphasis on Schwarz-type lemmas, boundary behavior of holomorphic functions, and conformal metrics. He has made significant contributions to the study of the Ahlfors-Schwarz lemma, its boundary versions, and applications to rigidity phenomena in complex analysis. His research also extends to deformation quantization on Riemann surfaces and the spectral theory of invariant differential operators.
