Oliver Mannel

Oliver Mannel is a Lecturer for Speech in the Acting Department at the Zurich University of the Arts since 2001, with formal training in speech pedagogy and extensive professional development in voice and acting methodologies.

He earned his foundational education in speech and speech training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart (1994-1998) under Prof. Uta Kutter. His continued professional development includes advanced training from:

He has taught internationally at the Istituto Svizzero and Festival "Incarnazioni" in Rome, Uniarts Helsinki, and the University of Art and Design Linz, integrating cross-cultural perspectives into his pedagogy.

Professionally, he provides coaching for film, theater, and media productions while conducting freelance teaching in business and adult education settings. He also maintains an active performance career as a speaker and reciter.

Currently pursuing his doctorate under Anton Rey at the Zurich University of the Arts and Thomas Macho at the University of Art and Design Linz, his scholarly work bridges academic research with practical voice and speech applications in performance arts.
