Oliver Cossairt is an Assistant Professor in the EECS Department at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering. His research focuses on computational imaging, combining optics, computer vision, and graphics to design novel imaging systems. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University under Prof. Shree Nayar, with prior work at MIT Media Lab and Actuality Systems. Key contributions include developing systems for extended depth-of-field cameras, spectral imaging, and 3D displays. Awards include the NSF CAREER Award (2015-2020) and Best Paper at ICCP 2011.
