Olga Vilceanu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Rowan University’s Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She has been teaching there since Fall 2011. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on branding, education, consumer behavior, digital media, intersectional identities, and crisis communication in healthcare and public relations contexts.
Dr. Vilceanu holds a M.A. from the University of Bucharest and a Ph.D. in Mass Media Communication from Temple University. Her work spans academic and professional conferences globally, with over 100+ projects and presentations.
Her research interests emphasize audience studies, intersectional identities, and public health communication. Recent publications explore medical student career preferences, Latino podcast engagement during the pandemic, and media representation of Asian athletes. She has co-authored studies on hospitalist career influences and religious branding during crises.
