Olga Pawelek

Dr. Olga Pawelek serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Medicine, and holds the position of Assistant Fellowship Director for the Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship Program. She maintains active clinical appointments as a Staff Anesthesiologist at Memorial Hermann Hospital and LBJ Hospital in Houston since 2010.

Her academic journey includes a B.A. in Biology from Texas A&M University (1996-2000), followed by a Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (2002-2006). She completed her Anesthesiology Residency (2007-2010) and Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship (2011-2013) at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and Texas Children's Hospital respectively.

Dr. Pawelek's research and clinical focus centers on pediatric cardiovascular anesthesiology, with significant contributions to medical education through her fellowship directorship. Her work emphasizes specialized anesthesia care for pediatric cardiac patients and training the next generation of anesthesiologists. She holds the prestigious distinction of Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (FASA), recognizing her professional achievements and contributions to the field.
