معرفی
Olga Mula is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), where she leads the Data-Driven Computational Science group within the Center for Analysis, Scientific Computing and Applications (CASA). She joined TU/e in February 2022 after serving six years as an Associate Professor at Paris Dauphine University. Dr. Mula holds a double master's degree from École Polytechnique (France) and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), and earned her PhD in Applied Mathematics from Sorbonne University in 2014.
Her research integrates computational mathematics with emerging data science paradigms, focusing on:
- Numerical analysis of partial differential equations
- Model reduction techniques for complex systems
- Inverse problem methodologies
- Optimal transport theory
- Interdisciplinary connections between machine learning and PDEs
Her recent publications demonstrate strong cross-disciplinary applications spanning mechanical engineering (elastoplastic deformation modeling, 3D printing optimization), environmental science (urban air pollution estimation), and fundamental mathematics (optimal transport, neural ODEs). This work consistently combines advanced computational frameworks with data-driven approaches.
As a member of the Eindhoven Young Academy of Engineering (EYAE), she contributes to sustainable development initiatives. She teaches courses including Mathematics of Neural Networks, Continuous Optimization, and Numerical Analysis.
