Prof. Olga Melnikova is a Professor of Ballet at Palucca University of Dance Dresden. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, she holds a Baccalaureus from the Vaganova Ballet Academy and studied at St. Petersburg State Academy of Culture. Her career includes roles as a Soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre (Kirov Ballet) and Semperoper Dresden. She serves as a ballet mistress at Semperoper Dresden and mentors the Apprentice Programme. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes integrating classical ballet with modern dance and improvisation from the earliest stages of training.
