Olga Lucia Russell

Olga Lucia Russell is an Associate Instructor in the Health Informatics and Information Management Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF), affiliated with the School of Global Health Management and Informatics. She holds an M.S., MHS, RHIA credentials, and is an approved AHIMA ICD-10 trainer. Dr. Russell has extensive experience in clinical documentation improvement (CDI), coding, and pre-bill auditing in hospital settings, alongside training healthcare professionals in these areas.

Research & Experience: Dr. Russell specializes in healthcare informatics, clinical documentation optimization, and medical coding. Her career includes roles in Colombia coordinating care for disabled children and violence victims with PROPACE and CIREC, as well as teaching at Valencia College for 15 years, where she instructed courses like Advanced Coding and Capstone. She also serves on Valencia’s OST advisory board.
