Olga Baysal

Olga Baysal is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science, Carleton University, and serves as Director of the Carleton University Institute for Data Science (CUIDS). She has held roles including Graduate Director (2020-2022) and Acting Director of CUIDS (2021), with prior faculty positions at Université de Montréal and Ryerson University.

Her research focuses on applying AI, ML, and NLP techniques to software engineering challenges through empirical studies of development artifacts. She leads the Software Analytics (SWAN) research group, mentoring 3 PhD and 4 MCS students while collaborating with industry partners like Ericsson, Shopify, and Google.
