Olena Germanivna Lyschenko

Olena Germanivna Lyschenko is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Zaporizhzhia National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic" within the Faculty of Business Technologies and Economics. With over a decade of academic experience since joining the university in 2014, she has established herself as a prominent figure in accounting education and research in Ukraine.

Education:

• Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Institute (1985): Specialty in "Foundry of Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals," qualification as metallurgical engineer (with honors)
• Zaporizhia State Technical University (1999): Faculty of Postgraduate Education, specialty in Organizational Management, qualification as economist-manager (with honors)
• Defended PhD thesis (2006) on "Formation of a quality management system for foundry enterprises" in Economics, organization and management of enterprises

Professor Lyschenko's research focuses on accounting, taxation, and audit, with particular emphasis on management accounting, financial reporting according to international standards, and corporate reporting. Her work addresses critical issues in Ukrainian accounting practices while incorporating European integration processes. She has developed innovative approaches to strategic management accounting and has published extensively on topics including fixed assets accounting, cost management, and receivables management. Her research has gained increased relevance during Ukraine's wartime conditions, where she has examined how accounting practices adapt to extraordinary circumstances.

Analysis of her recent publications reveals a strong trend toward practical applications of accounting principles in challenging economic environments, particularly focusing on wartime adaptations, digital transformation of accounting processes, and alignment with European standards. Her work demonstrates consistent evolution from traditional accounting topics toward more complex issues involving transfer pricing, internal control systems, and strategic financial management in volatile conditions.

Professor Lyschenko teaches Strategic Management Accounting, Accounting and Financial Reporting According to International Standards, Corporate Reporting, and Management Accounting. She has supervised numerous academic projects and contributed to curriculum development in accounting disciplines.
