Oleksandra Kunyk

Dr. Oleksandra Kunyk serves as Project Manager and Scientist at the FTZ for Sustainability and Climate Impact Management, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, where she teaches Textile Chemistry, Food Chemistry, and Industrial Pharmacy while supervising bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses on sustainable industrial technologies.

Her research pioneers sustainable development across chemical, textile, food, and pharmaceutical industries through eco-friendly process optimization. She specializes in cationic polymer applications for textile dyeing and resource-efficient food/pharmaceutical production methods, driving industrial decarbonization via circular economy principles and life-cycle assessment frameworks.

• Leopoldina Ukraine Distinguished Fellowship (2023–2025)

Dr. Kunyk actively supervises graduate research including the doctoral thesis 'Development of a technology for dyeing cotton fabrics with reactive dyes using cationic polymers' (2013). She has secured multiple government research grants for sustainable textile and food technology projects, focusing on reducing water consumption and chemical waste in industrial processes.

She leads interdisciplinary teams at the FTZ Sustainability and Climate Impact Management center, coordinating industry partnerships to implement carbon-neutral manufacturing solutions across European textile and food supply chains.
