Oleg V Pavlov

Oleg V Pavlov is Professor of Economics and System Dynamics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He holds a BS in Physics/Computer Science, PhD in Economics from University of Southern California, and MBA from Cornell University.

Research develops multi-sector analytical frameworks incorporating system dynamics, examining economic systems with feedback mechanisms and resistance to change. Key areas include artificial stock markets, telecommunications, digital marketing, and education economics.

Recent publications focus on transforming economics education through system dynamics and feedback modeling. Awards include WPI Research Advancement Program (2006) and Teaching Technology Fellowship (2004).

Leads projects on risk perception evolution and educational innovation, advising student research teams through project-based learning approaches.
