Professor Oleg P Sushkov is a theoretical physicist at the School of Physics, UNSW, with a career spanning over three decades. He works on quantum many-body systems, strong electron correlations, and condensed matter theory.
- Education: MSc, PhD, and DSc (Habilitation) from Novosibirsk State University and Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (Russia)
His research areas include high-temperature superconductivity, spintronics, graphene, topological materials, and quantum field theory. He has held visiting positions at prestigious institutions like the Niels Bohr Institute and Harvard University.
Recent research focus involves quantum systems with electric current without heat dissipation and artificial topological materials. Current grants include the ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies (FLEET) (2017-2024) and ARC Grant on Topological Effects and Correlations in Quantum Materials (2016-2021).
