Olav Vikmoen

Olav Vikmoen is a Researcher at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, focusing on muscle physiology, training and cancer, and concurrent strength and endurance training. He combines research with lecturing in exercise physiology and exercise science.

• Education: Master's in altitude training (2010), PhD in sports physiology (2015)
• Current Role: Postdoctoral fellow in PhysCan project studying exercise effects on muscle cells during breast cancer treatment
• Past Experience: Postdoc at Norwegian Defence Research Establishment on military field exercise physiology

Research Interests: Investigates how exercise impacts cancer patients, muscle adaptation, and integrated physiological responses to combined strength/endurance training. His work bridges clinical applications with fundamental physiology.
