Olamide Jarrett

Olamide Jarrett serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine within the Department of Infectious Disease at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, focusing on infectious disease research and clinical practice with emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa.

Her primary research interests include:

• HIV and sexually transmitted infections in women
• Ebola outbreak response and investigation

During the 2014 Ebola crisis, Dr. Jarrett deployed to Connaught Hospital's Isolation Unit in Freetown, Sierra Leone, leveraging personal connections to the region to support containment efforts and advocate for improved treatment infrastructure.
