Dr. Oisín Plumb is a Lecturer at the Institute for Northern Studies, part of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), specializing in Early Medieval Northern Britain and Ireland. His research spans Pictish history, Dalriadic interactions, and medieval geographical perceptions.

His research interests include: the Picts, Dalriada, early medieval church dynamics, North Atlantic cultural exchange, and historical geography. He explores how identities formed through migration and how the medieval world conceptualized geography.
