Oda Klavestad Moen serves as a Doctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Medicine and Laboratory Sciences at the University of Oslo's Faculty of Medicine, with concurrent student affiliations in both the Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Medicine.
Her research centers on human biology and child health, specializing in growth and development metrics, anthropometric measurements, and seasonal variations in pediatric populations. She investigates how temporal factors influence body composition indicators like BMI and skinfolds among children.
Her recent publication in the American Journal of Human Biology documents significant seasonal patterns in anthropometric measurements among Norwegian children, demonstrating that health assessments must account for temporal variations to avoid misinterpretation of growth data.
Funded through her Doctoral Research Fellowship, she actively conducts dissertation research while contributing to medical science. As a doctoral candidate herself, she does not currently advise students but collaborates with international researchers including Juliusson, Roelants, and Spielau.
