OSCAR RODIL MARZABAL is a Full Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), affiliated with the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Environmental Technologies (CRETUS). He holds a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from USC (1999), having earned both the Extraordinary Doctorate Award and Royal Academy of Doctors Award. His research focuses on innovation, global value chains, trade, and sustainability, with over 100 publications and leadership in competitive research projects (National Plan, EU, EU-LAC Foundation).
Education highlights include a Degree in Economic Sciences (1997, Extraordinary Bachelor's Award) and Doctorate (1999). He has served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and held roles in academic governance, including secretary of doctoral and master's programs.
