Nuria Belloso Martin is a University Professor at the Faculty of Law, Department of Public Law, University of Burgos (UBU), specializing in Philosophy of Law and Public Law with extensive contributions to interdisciplinary legal research.
Education:
- PhD in Law from University of Valladolid (1988) with thesis "Man, Society and Law in the Thought of Alfonso de Madrigal (El Tostado)".
Research Interests: Her work bridges Philosophy of Law, Human Rights, and Environmental Law through sustainable development frameworks. She actively explores Mediation methodologies (Civil, Commercial, Family) and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, leading the GID UBU Interdisciplinary Legal-Political-Philosophical Methodology group while collaborating with Brazil's EthicAI Institute and UNESA's Mediation Observatory.
Scientific Awards:
- International Award for Career and Professional Excellence (2015) by Andalusian Association of Law, Environment and Sustainable Development
- Honorary Doctorate from Fluminense University Center (2023)
Advising and Grants: Supervised 22 doctoral theses (including Extraordinary Doctoral Award winners) and participated in CAPES Brazil research projects. Serves as UBU DOCENTIA Program evaluator and Quality Assurance Agency reviewer for Galicia (ACSUG) and Basque Country (UNIBASQ), with ongoing Erasmus+ mobility coordination.
Labs and Teams: Leads ORDITER Research Group (Land Planning, Urban Design, Environment), directs UBU's Family Mediation Specialist Course, and represents UBU at CUEMYC. Active in Francisco de Vitoria Hispanic-American Human Rights Network and Rio de Janeiro's Judicial Mediation School (EMEDI).
