Nur Onvural

Dr. Nur Onvural is a Professor of Management at Campbell University’s Adult & Online Education Division since August 2019. Previously, she held a Professorship in Economics and Finance at Pfeiffer University for nearly 18 years and served as a visiting professor at North Carolina State University. She earned a Ph.D. in Economics and an M.S. in Management from North Carolina State University, along with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.

Her research focuses on health economics, health finance, innovation, and digital transformation in healthcare. Current teaching responsibilities include healthcare management, economics, and finance courses. Professional experience includes roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, where she managed healthcare reimbursement payment models and electronic exchange systems between insurers and providers. She is a certified Quality Matters (QM) peer reviewer for online courses.

Notable contributions include advancing value-based healthcare frameworks and exploring the economic impact of healthcare technologies. Her awards include the 2016 Cary Magazine recognition as one of Western Wake County’s top women for community contributions as an educator and entrepreneur.

Key areas of expertise blend academic rigor with practical healthcare administration challenges, emphasizing digital solutions and economic policy analysis. She has advised on numerous projects related to hospital performance metrics and telehealth adaptations during the pandemic.
