Nour Zaki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at The American University in Cairo (AUC), where she also contributes to clinical and research initiatives. She is the founder and director of the Attachment Lab at AUC, a research hub focused on attachment and perinatal psychology.
Research Interests: Her work emphasizes attachment theory and pre/peri/postnatal psychology, particularly how expecting mothers' attachment histories shape their transition to parenthood. She explores prenatal bonding, prenatal imprints and trauma, and the intergenerational transmission of attachment patterns. Her research bridges developmental and clinical psychology, aiming to support healthy parent-infant relationships from the earliest stages of life.
