North Cooc

North Cooc, EdD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts, with a concurrent appointment as core faculty in the Center for Asian American Studies. His work bridges educational equity, disability studies, and immigrant student experiences.

Research Interests

His research examines: 1) racial/ethnic disparities in educational outcomes, 2) equity in special education systems, and 3) culturally sustaining teacher preparation. Projects address obesity trends in disabled youth, hate speech against AAPI students, and refugee integration.
