Dr. Nora Yitong Qiu is a Lecturer in Modern East Asian History at University College London's Department of History. Her research focuses on social interactions, power dynamics, and identity formation across the Qing Empire, Republic of China, and PRC eras, with emphasis on economic development's socio-cultural dimensions. She holds a PhD in Economic History from LSE (2022), M.Sc. from LSE (2018), and B.A. from Mount Holyoke College (2017).
