Nora West

Nora West, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in International Health with a focus on Social and Behavioral Interventions from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2021) and an MPH in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (2012).

Her research in Global Health Equity examines intersections between tuberculosis (TB), mental health, and infectious disease dynamics, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. She specializes in qualitative and mixed-methods research to understand mental health trajectories during TB diagnosis and treatment, and advocates for integrating mental health services into TB care through implementation science approaches.
