Nora Renthal

Nora Renthal, MD, PhD, is an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and holds multiple clinical leadership roles at Boston Children’s Hospital. She serves as Medical Director of the Bone Health Program, Director of the DXA Center for Pediatric Bone Density, and Attending Physician in the Division of Endocrinology.

Dr. Renthal completed her MD and PhD at UT Southwestern Medical Center (2013–2014), followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital (2018). Her research focuses on skeletal fragility, osteoporosis, and endocrine issues in conditions like Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. She emphasizes equitable practices in pediatric densitometry and multidisciplinary care for genetic disorders.

Her publications address bone health in neuromuscular diseases, genomic drivers of skeletal growth, and reducing racial bias in medical diagnostics. She has been featured in podcasts discussing pediatric bone health advocacy.
