Dr. Nora Nachumi is an Associate Professor of English at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University, and serves as Director of the Minor in Women's Studies and Co-Chair of the Academic Integrity Committee. She holds a BA in English (SUNY Purchase) and a PhD in English with a Women's Studies certificate (CUNY Graduate Center). Her research focuses on celebrity studies, 18th- and 19th-century British literature, theater, and women writers like Jane Austen, Frances Burney, and Elizabeth Inchbald. She teaches courses on literary genres (comedy, satire, detective fiction), women's studies, and film.

Research Interests: Dr. Nachumi explores intersections of gender, theater, and celebrity in historical and contemporary contexts. Recent courses include Composition and Rhetoric, Women's Studies Theory, and topics in British literature.
