Nora Colton is the Founding Director of the Global Business School for Health at University College London (UCL), where she holds the Professor of Leadership and Management for Healthcare title. She has held leadership roles at UCL, including Pro-Vice-Provost (Postgraduate Education) and Joint Director of Education at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital. Her academic journey includes visiting professorships at institutions in China, Lebanon, and the USA, as well as a postdoctoral position at Harvard University.

Her research examines leadership dynamics in healthcare, focusing on the new health economy, self-selection bias in healthcare leadership roles, and the impact of senior managers' backgrounds on organizational performance. Current projects include analyzing NHS leadership career trajectories and structural economic challenges in the MENA region, supported by grants such as Fulbright, Carnegie Foundation, and Social Science Research awards.
Her recent publications (2023–2025) explore healthcare innovation, including data-driven technologies, value co-creation in patient communities, and human rights approaches to assistive technology. These works highlight her interdisciplinary focus on strategic leadership, digital health, and global health equity.
