Nor Haniza Mohamad

Dr. Nor Haniza Mohamad is a senior faculty member and pioneer in innovative education practices, notably CDIO (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) and Design Thinking frameworks. She has held roles at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (since 2023), Politeknik Tawau Sabah (2022–2023), and Politeknik Port Dickson (2018–2022). Her work focuses on enhancing educational standards through cross-disciplinary collaborations and hands-on learning methodologies.

Key initiatives include:

• Leading CDIO and Design Thinking training for over 2000 educators and students across Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
• Achieving Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) accreditation for nine programs at Politeknik Port Dickson (2019–2020).
• Launching the Integrated Learning Experiences (ILE) approach, which earned national recognition when two student projects reached the top 27 in Malaysia's National e-SULAM competition (2021), with one project winning first place.
• Spearheading the publication of ten papers on CDIO-ILE integration in 2021.
• Fostering international collaboration via multidisciplinary final-year projects with Politeknik Negeri Padang, Indonesia.

Her research interests center on transformative educational practices, accreditation strategies, and the application of design thinking in technical education. Dr. Mohamad’s contributions have solidified her role as a leader in Malaysia’s polytechnic education reform.
