Dr. Noorhan Abbas is a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Leeds, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. She is actively involved in AI research and education, with affiliations to the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA) and the AI Research Group. She leads key modules in the online MSc in Artificial Intelligence programme, including Programming for Data Science and Data Mining and Text Analytics.

Her work bridges cutting-edge AI with pedagogical innovation, particularly in educational chatbots and assessment.
Dr. Abbas has secured research funding from the Alan Turing Institute and leads the Edubots project (Erasmus+), promoting best practices in AI-driven education across Europe. She organized the AI4EduRes workshop in 2023, contributing to global discourse on AI in education.
